ABOUT NNAMDI AZIKIWE UNIVERSITY (UNIZIK)
Nigeria’s Nnamdi Azikiwe institution, Awka, sometimes affectionately known as UNIZIK, is a federal institution. In Anambra State, it has two campuses. It has two campuses: one in Nnewi and the other in Awka, the capital of Anambra State. Additionally, Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka has other campuses.
These include Agulu in Anaocha local government area and Ifite-Ogwari in Ayamelum local government area in Anambra State.
With its Awka campus in the Anambra Central Senatorial District, Nnewi in the Anambra South Senatorial District, and Ifite-Ogwari in the Anambra North Senatorial District, respectively, Nnamdi Azikiwe University is now able to function in all three senatorial districts of Anambra State, Nigeria.
Students, faculty, and non-academic personnel can access the libraries and information services on these sites. It is among the federal universities under the National Universities Commission’s supervision and accreditation. The university is named after the late Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe.
The university’s faculty members are members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU). Like other donors, the staff union is well-known for providing scholarships to deserving students. There are approximately 34,000 students enrolled overall.

The Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) Post-UTME exam structure includes a screening process that considers both UTME scores and O’level results.
Eligibility
Candidates who chose UNIZIK as their first choice in the UTME and passed the required cut-off scores are eligible
Direct Entry candidates must have an OND/HND/First Degree or A Level in relevant subjects
Candidates who didn’t choose UNIZIK as their first choice but passed the cut-off scores can apply by changing their institution at a JAMB CBT Center
Screening process
Candidates are screened based on their UTME scores and O’level results for the four subjects taken in UTME
The final score is calculated using the following formula
Final score = [(JAMB SCORE`* 0.7) + [(O’ level score + Bonus)*0.3]
O’level results are ranked as follows
A1= 90, B2= 80, B3= 70, C4= 60, C5= 55, C6=50, D7, E8 and F9=0
Candidates who credited all four O’level subjects in a single sitting receive a bonus of 10 points
Candidates can apply for the UNIZIK Post-UTME screening form on the UNIZIK portal.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR UNIZIK POST UTME EXAM
To be eligible for the Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) Post-UTME screening exercise, you must meet the following requirements:
- Choose UNIZIK as your first choice in the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)
- Have the required pass marks
- Have the relevant subjects and qualifications for Direct Entry
